Degree Oral Examination Procedure

This page provides the eligibility requirements, application procedures, required forms, and thesis submission guidelines for students preparing for the master's degree examination.

Eligibility Requirements

☐ Complete all required credits for the program

☐ Submit one eligible research output as the first author under the affiliation of the International Master Program in Integrative Health.

• One academic journal submission; or
• One conference poster

Application Process

Step 1. Review the Examination Process

Review the Step-by-step Application Guide and confirm that all eligibility requirements have been met.

Step 2. Prepare the Required Documents

Use the Application Checklist to prepare all required forms and supporting documents.

Step 3. Submit the Application

Submit the complete application package one month before the deadline on CMU's calendar.

Step 4. Complete the Oral Defense

Attend the oral defense and complete all required procedures.

Step 5. Submit the Final Thesis

Submit the final approved thesis and complete graduation clearance.

Forms and Downloads

Important Notes

Beginning with students graduating in Fall 2025, students requesting a thesis/dissertation embargo must submit the embargo application together with the degree oral defense application. No modifications are allowed afterwards.
